Florida death metal tone
Who else this thinks these tones were awesome that were coming out on such classic albums as "Ten Commandments" by Malevolent Creation or "Cause of Death" by Obituary. What is just the Scott Burns magic or were bands just knowing how to create awesome tones from their amps?

That's my favourite kind of stuff. All the early Florida-stuff is just great. As mentioned before, Brutality's "Screams of anguish" leadsound is PERFECT!!!

I fuckin love all those oldschool DM tones! Obituary are notorious for using EMG-81's. On Cause of Death I beleive they used Marshall JCM 800's, probably modded for higher gain?
