How to change Worn out Frets?

How often are you suppose to change the frets on your guitar, and has anyone know how to do it? In the country where I am at now there are no guitar technicians around anywhere to help me if I have a guitar problem. This is out of the topic but yesterday when I was playing guitar with my strap the strap came of and my guitar fell to the floor. I almost got a heart attack (not literally) because I got it when I was in Germany and brought it with me here and there are no good guitars here. I'm very picky and shrewd with my guitar. Has that happened to anyone where the guitar strap comes of the guitar?

Strap locks are a very wise investment. If you can't get hold of any try wrapping some gaffa tape around where the strap and body meet.

I'd only replace frets if there was signs of serious wear and it was creating dead spots. You could do it yourself and I'm sure the web has some stuff on it. But do you trust yourself with tools near ya guitar?
I've never had to do it myself and if I did I'd try to track down a tech or a reputable dealer/shop and get them to do it.

i would try and find a tech no matter what. Changing frets takes a lot of work/talent, condsidering you have to issue them in accordance with the way your guitar is built.

De-fretting and Re-fretting a guitar is a serious project to undertake, it will take a lot of patience and skill, and it'll take a long time. Take your time doing it on your first time, then you'll have less chance of slipping and making a mistake
