okay, im sure there is another threead about this but i couldnt find it so please dont yell at me. i've been looking at some effect pedals and the ones im really interested in is the boss chromatic tuner pedal and the boss bass chorus pedal i could only spend about $100 on each pedal so dont go suggesting no 300 dollar volume controllers lol

Ive got 2 boss pedals that i use for gigs, Boss ODB3 (bass overdrive, and good for compression and more gain) and a Boss TU2 (the chromatic tuner pedal) the Boss ones are good price they shouldnt cost more than 80 dollars for each..

Why do you need a tuning pedal for $80? Can't you get a normal tuner for like $15?

A tuner pedal is all nice and jolly, but short of having a shitty bass that constantly goes out of tune after 10 mins of playing (in which case I would recommend saving for a better bass), you don't really need it. Just get a regular hand held tuner and take care of it.

Boss pedals are fantastic though, great construction and long battery life. Much better than buying a multi-effect pedal.

Forget the tuner!!! Get the chorus pedal and save yourself some time and money. The worst thing to watch live is someone with a tuning pedal...inbetween EVERY song, they are tweeking their tuning. Not that they are out of tune, just because they have this little light that says "you're out by such a tiny amount it's unnoticable to a dog's ear, let alone a human's!" I've seen it happen and it's as amatuerish as it gets.

Ibanez made a great 3-pedal box at one point, with Chorus, Compression, and Tube Screamer in it. I use that from time to time, but just to get a volume boost during 2-hand tapping sections on some songs. And it was REALLY cheap!!

Cheers.

Thumbs up Boss Rules!

Boss pedals simply FUCKING RULE! They are probably the most well constructed and best sounding pedal for bass or guitar, well worth the price.....I use the 'Boss ODB-3 Bass OverDrive' and the 'Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus' and they both kick ass! seriously dude, get the CEB-3 chorus, it's great....or if you dont already have a fuzz/distortion pedal look into the ODB-3 overdrive. Enjoy

Cheers

Its accurate, its built like a tank, and its foot controlled.

The only effect I'm really interested in is a wah.

And Bill, I'm going Subsonic on this one.

i use the digitech bp-80. Certain effects arent the greatest, but the overall pedal is really great and it has a tuner built in + drum machine!!!! Only for 100$
