My Experience:

I recently bought 50g of dried Salvia Divinorum leaves. Yesterday evening, my sitter and I wanted to try out Salvia for the first time....
Well, I got my bong out, smoked 2 leaves within 1 1/2 min and got completley away from reality after a few seconds.....

The area around me diminished and slowly became black…. Everything was black…. My physical body turned into a liquid and the blackness around me disposed it. After a few seconds a number of bright dots appeared in the blackness… in fact, they became more and more till everything around me was filled with the bright dots… Some dots were growing in size and turned into planets. At this point I knew I’m in the universe. After a while of irritation, the brightest dot of all started to fly towards me. It flew unswervingly into my eyes and out of reflex I closed my eyes…. As I opened them again I was standing on a cliff. 1 meter in front of me the cliff started and went more than 2 km downhill…. Down there was the ocean that continuously pushed immense vigorous waves against the cliff…. This place was very relaxing, so I sat down on the ground that was filled with flowers and grass….. I starred into the horizon, were the sun was leisurely going down…. The sky and the clouds were blood red…. After sitting there for awhile, I decided to jump down the cliff. I knew it was all Salvias construction and I cannot pass away from jumping down that 2 km cliff… I ran, jumped and didn’t fall down…. Somehow I was flying… well, I was standing, but there was no ground under me…. It felt like as if the wind holds me up…

And from this point on I cannot remember anything….

The whole experience lasted for 20min, and everything was as real as reality itself.

I did Salvia twice. It was the 20x extract. Personally i hate the shit, but it was so unbelievable that i just had to try it a second time. I hate it because i feel as if i can't control my limbs, it's as if i'm a puppet attacted to strings and someone is forcing me to move how they want me to. There's a lot of things i can write about from my trips, but i don't feel like sharing all that right now.

Is Salvia legal in the United States?

Salvia is commonly used among "shamans" or " medicine men". It gives you feel that you're "crossing your physical borders". Shamans use it to hmm take control of animals for example - at least they believe so. It's mostly legal but some countries are forcing laws to stop it. However it's really hard to get Salvia divinorum, not normal Salvia with some other drug addition. At least it's hard in my country. IMO Salvia is something much more powerful than weed, it may really affect your personality. It's drug so results of taking it are unpredictable.

I don't know the potency of the kind I tried but I smoked a good amount of it. At first everything became comical, but then I felt like I was the size of an ant and everyone around me was a fucking behemoth and I almost busted my liver open laughing so hard. Then I came down after about 5 minutes. It was cool, but not that great - the trip was too short and I really didn't feel enlightened afterwards at all, but I've heard better things.

I used to be into all kinds of drugs. Salvia was great, the high was intense and the visuals were quite vivid at times. I felt like these potted flowers were trying to suck my upper body into the ground...Weird? Yeah, it's a fucked up drug that suprised me every time I did it. I prefered LSD or high potency mushrooms such as cyanescense or closed cap cubensis. Salvia is great for a legal high.

I prefer sobriety these days, but I will never forget how much fun I had on drugs. Coke, Mushrooms, LSD, more mushrooms, and alot of pot....good times. OH and can't forget my former alcoholic addiction.

Anyone on here ever do heroin or get into oxycontin or anything? not that many of you would admit it anyway

Tried Salvia Divinorum one time(Salvia something
(can't remember the species)is used as tea).
It was just leaves and I only laughed for half
a minute.Quite disappoinetd after that(and
after a lot of research) me and a friend
got 30g from ebay and a bottle of acetone
and proceeded to create a 10x(or close to that)
extract.We made it(January 2005) but tried only one
hit(from a bong with a boutane lighter) and laughed for
about a minute.Since then we never actually tried it.

Trivia:
The active chemical in Salvia Div.(Salvinorin A) is the most
powerfull(in relation to its concentration) psychoactive substance.
The receptors that it uses in the brain are the same as the
ones heroin uses.It's not addictive.
It's legal in most countries but mindless junkies and drugfiends
are gonna help goverments make it illegal(it was made illegal
in Italy about a year ago and a law making it illegal is sceluded here).
I think that the extracts is illegal though in most countries.

Divinorum(but the divinorum species was used as tea(or
chewed) by
people in Mexico when Salvia div. was first used

I don't see why not. You will get some effect out of it no doubt. Like choking on the fucking smoke. It may not be a psychoactive effect, but it's an effect, nonetheless.

I smoked the 20x extract and let me tell you, one hit and you're in another dimention. It comes at about 65$ a gram for the 20x extract around here, but you'll get tons of uses out of it figuring you only need one hit to trip your face off. So yeah, it's definitly worth it. i wouldn't even suggest buying the leaves.

Alright, today I tried Salvia for the second time....

I filled the bonghead with salvia and inhaled the smoke three times after each other with 10 seconds of pause between each step....

I went to my bed, tunred Ulver - Lyckantropen on, and closed my eyes...
Somekind of tunnel appeared... it looked like the inside of an submarine... I heard the noise of the water pushing against the outside wall, and in the inside I heard machines that were working somewhere....
It was as real as reality.... I could touch the walls, smell the smoke of the working machines, hear every single tone as it was real....

*in reality* my neighbours window broke and waked me up into reality again....

the leaves are good to smoke, but you have to smoke very very much inorder to reach the wanted effects..... I smoked again today... 4 fucking leaves and I still didn't enter the dream world.... I think my body gets used to it.....

It is really essential that a sitter as near you when you try out salvia for the first time or when you try to experiment with it.....

My sitter took Salvia right after I had the trip.... its just better to do it with someone you know.... then you won't panic as much during your trip as if you would be unaccompanied.....

Today I made a new experience.... I increased the dose from 4 leaves to 6 leaves... I also tried out some things before I consumed Salvia.... Well first I wanted to try out if a big meal decreases the effects of salvia and if a beer before consumption makes the experiences unpleasant....

I can recommend drinking alcohol before your are going to the trip, because it accelerates the whole progression… But don’t drink too much! I can imagine that after a high consumption of alcohol, your Salvia experience is going to be as hell….

Anyways, after smoking 6 leaves after each other with a bong, I sat down on my sofa and closed my eyes…. I saw 3 dimensional things spinning around and around… as I started to concentrate more on what I see, I finally brought the image to stop spinning and I could explore the visions in front of me….. I saw little gnomes that manipulate/create our reality… One gnome was gluing the leaves onto a tree; the other was painting the sky and so on….
Seeing this I started laughing because it looked funny that gnomes make our reality look real…. Bursting out in laughter for about 5min non-stop, the vision faded and I suddenly was standing on a platform in the sky…. The platform was surrounded with clouds and again, the gnomes appeared and walked all over the platform…. The gnomes jumped from platform to platform using the wind… I was very excited on what I see that I completely forgot to travel around and discover the platform more…. At this point the vision has ended and I was happy about the very short duration of my experience….

Salvia is illegal in Australia so I'm having a hard time getting some.

I've tried mushrooms though and that was a fucking awesome experience. Gold tops grow on my uni's campus so they grow hundreds of metres away from halls, where I live.

About a month ago, a few of my med friends at halls tried mushrooms with me and it was intense. There was so many different experiences and levels that it's hard to explain.

We made this mushroom sludge stuff (about 6gms of dried mushrooms each) and smoked some weed and waited for the shrooms to kick in. about 20 minutes later I started getting really relaxed and a bit tired, then my arms seemed to have a trail, similar to a camcorder effect. A few minutes later a square room, that I was sitting in, seemed to change into a kite shape.

My perception of time became fucked up with a few minutes seeming to be hours long. The whole room had a dark red glow and I started to see shit like bright yellow lines going in between the bricks and posters on the wall. All sounds seemed like they were slowed down, really deep and had an echo/reverb effect. I also started seeing all these smiling faces everywhere, all over the walls and floor. The posters and stickers on the ceiling were moving around a lot too.

We decided to go outside to smoke some more bud. It took fucking ages before we got to a bench near a lake just 50m away from my friend's (Tom) room. It was somewhere I hadn't been before though, but looked similar to other places nearby so I was freaking out, thinking everything I saw wasn't real. The bench appeared to be sitting on top is an extremely steep 100m tall hill on one side then a crooked path up another hill, going back to Tom's room on the other.

On the way back my senses became mixed up, which is really hard to explain and comprehend. I could feel and see sounds. All of us felt a loss of reality, pondering whether we, ourselves, even existed. On the way back to Tom's room I got lost and found myself, with Tom, in the music room. I started playing my guitar with a delay effect on. It felt like the music was an extension of my body.

After leaving the music room to finally get back to Tom's room, the corridors seemed to be closing in on me. The walls also seemed to be breathing. I also had something similar to an outerbody experience, not feeling like I was controlling my body or even being in a body but floating around (perhaps this is why I felt I didn't exist).

After what seemed like a day, we got back to his room and one of Tom's friend had comeover to get some weed. I was kind of freaked because I hadn't even met him before. At this time I was having fuckloads of visuals, such as patterns everywhere. Apparently I was staring at the carpet for 3 hours straight and refused to move. I remember the carpet looking like it was one of those 3D pictures that you stare at and an image appears. Tom's friend ended up leaving after 3 hours without any weed because we were all tripping so much that we instantly forgot what he was there for.

Tom's parents also called up. Somehow he got through it, even though he couldn't comprehend what the fuck his father was saying.

One of the most awesome parts was the closed eye visuals. I saw loads of extremely intricate patterns, mainly blue-green. They seemed to fly away from me and turn into a huge screaming face.

I was one of the first to comedown and it was hilarious seeing my friends with massively dilated pupils getting excited staring at the walls.

It seems like we all had different kind of trips. I had a more visual trip, seeing shit loads of patterns, another was having an epiphany and 'self realization' kind of thing, focused mainly on the fucked up thoughts about reality and another was focused on the touching shit, like running up and down corridors, while touching the walls to get awesome feelings.


That 8 hour trip was one of the most intense things I've experienced and think plan on going shrooming again sometime soon.

This thread has actually got me rolling a joint.

What I forgot to mention was the people who haven't experienced drugs, aka muggles, bagging out people who admit to taking drugs. We don't want to hear you try and take the moral high ground. A lot of these people (excluding straight edge of course) claim that weed is extremely dangerous because it causes schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder when you can find these people throwing up in a gutter most weekends.

I've pretty much stopped drinking altogether (last year and the start of this year I was extremely heavily into booze) and I find that drinking, although it's more acceptable is far worse than pot. People are rowdy, obnoxious and disgusting when they're drunk, starting fights, being sleazing and causing fuckloads of destruction but it's justified because they're drunk.

When my friends and I smoke up and are entertained just sitting in a room, listening to music, causing no harm to anyone else, were dubbed 'the potheads' and looked down apon by the guys you find sleeping in their own vomit, passed out in a gutter most weekends.

I can't be fucked writing more but you get my point.

Youre right about the whole pot thing(Seve420). Me and all my friends are at a point in our lives where a force beyond our control is impeding us from continuing our regular routines. Weve been getting so used to smoking all low pro without getting caught, that we forget that its actually illegal and "wrong". I just barely turned 17 and im looking for employment because its quite evident that no matter what you, no matter how good you are at school, at anything, people will always point out the "bad" points rather than the good.What i think though is that people have been brainwashed to basically follow other people's thoughts. People who never dealt with the substance(atleast not the way i have ) just deem it wrong. Basically what im saying is who the fuck told them its wrong? Everything in this world is potentially and if not, wrong. Did the creator of all things come in the first day and say "pot is bad!".No, someone made it up and everyone followed. People's logic is propesterous!! Keep herbs to yourself, dont trust the wrong people, and smoke the weed rather than it smoking you.

I hope that just like in the old days, that pot gets legalized just like brew and tobacco did. Tobacco is the worst thing ever, its a complete waste of time,health, and money. If i ever had the chance to meet the people who argue against weed, id present them with a single test. Smoke them out with some good ass weed (some chrondo maybe hehehe). *bubble bubble**snap* *clear* Ok that went down pretty smooth. Now pack that same person a bowl of tobacco and see how that goes...
