peavey envoy 110
im looking at getting a smaller amp, considering i will be living in a dorm for the next 9 or so months, and so far, taking into account price, reviews, and a bit of research, this is looking like the opne i am gonna get, i am just curious if anyone has any first hand experience with it, since i am worried that the distorted channel might be fairly weak. also, if anyone has any other suggestions, i am looking for a tube/hybrid amp, 30-40 watts, and between $250-400 in price. THANKS

The Envoy is the smallest in the Peavey TransTube Series. (they arn't actually tube amps)
I own the Bandit and i would have to say it's a better decision.
It performs better at louder volumes, and has a lot more features. I bought it for around 600 $AU retail, so its in your price range.
Looking at the manual, it has a shitload of extra tone shaping controls.
You may aswell consider a Bandit if your going for one an Envoy...
And i like the Bandit's distortion btw... just try em out at a shop first

The transtube series arent Tube or hybrid. They just market it that way because it sells. You can probally do better than a peavey envoy by buying used.

I still have my envoy, the distortion is weak but i only used it with pedals on the clean, it'll do fine like that.
