good jazz bass?
ok, i have about 650 dollars to spend and im looking for a good jazz bass fretted fretless doesnt matter just something good quality that will last a while. i was thinking a geddy lee but i dont know much about jazz basses

Well, fender would be the way to go on jazz basses, 650 im sure you can get a made in mexico jazz bass.. the top range jazz basses are the american deluxe jazzes..
But.. didnt you just get a spector, why suddenly another bass?

Dunno if you mean JAZZ bass ala Fender or a bass to play jazz with... I assume the first.
Anyway, the best fretless I have played was a G&L ... L-1500 or 2000 I think. They're not the most popular company in guitardom, but they sure make nice basses for a non-insane price.
EDIT: And of course, I would see this bass as better than most stock Fender Jazz basses these days..

get a bc rich warlock bass....it'll look awesome when playing jazz lol
on a serious note get a fender/squier J bass also try out some gibsons and also aria's(steve bailey uses em)

yeah i did just get a spector and i love it, but i need a new 4 string im playing on a bc rich platinum and it sucks badly

which one exactly would be in my range? because theyre hard as hell to find on the web and the cheapest one i found was the standard 4 and it was 1900 dollars i guess that would be about 700 pounds but yeah...
