Anyone ever used carvin cabs?
I'm looking around for a cheap, decent 2x12 to replace my marshall MG... and carvin has two different ones for around $200 \m/
the VE212 got stellar reviews on HC, and i know you should take those with a grain of salt but yeah...
the SC212e doesnt have any reviews that i can find, but the speakers in it seem to get eh reviews.
Anyone played either? good? bad?
or anyone willing to sell me a kickass cab for $200? (i saw a marshall MG go for $250 on ebay with 17 bids on it!!! i'm selling mine on the 'bay like...tommorow...new cab here i come!)

I think Carvin makes good cabs.

Carvin make good everything. All of it professional grade stuff. Their amps my not be geared for metal as much as rock but everything else is superb. I would like to get them to make a guitar for me and someday when I build a studio I think I'm going to use Carvin products for sound reinforcment. There mixing boards, PA, and speakers are very nice for the price they want.

Get an Avatar 2x12. Better quality, and you can choose what speakers you want in it. Mine is only going to run me $299 + $34 for shipping. Thats a steal for something so great. If you don't want to do that, go to http://www.harmonycentral.com and find the review. Actually, speaking of which, I didn't find that 2x12 on there when I looked last week.
And does anyone know about the Carvin SX-300 head? Again, I point out that I'm on a budget. Amp distortion doesn't matter; I'm getting a Rocktron Silver Dragon for distortion.

I've heard good things about the SX series. Carvin anything is usually at least 8/10 on anything. not the best but definately usable.
in other news, I scored a Peavey Classic 60/60 Tube Power Amp for $200.

Thanks. I saw the good reviews on Harmony-Central.com, but I always like to get a second opinion.

Hey, would anyone recommend buying a Behringer V-AMP Pro as an effects unit/backup preamp? I'd want both eventually, and it'd be nice to have it in one unit. Is there a way to use ONLY the effects without having to even go through other stuff in the V-AMP? i know how to disable the cab sim, but how would i disable the amp modeling?
