With Great Difficulties, I still can't read it too well, so yeah! I suggest you train your ears and trust them, rather than rely on someone else, has worked good for me so far.

No need for drumtabs except for complex rhythms or so.
Otherwise, just listen and try to play it by ear.

drum tabs are easy from what remember<i havent actually really sat down with notation in a long ass time>, it takes a little getting used to. really complicated rudiment/beat/off time stuff is hard to understand, but its about the same with guitar tab, i believe.
i learn best by observation, every show i go to i need a clear line of sight into the drumkit
