another which amp thread!!
alright heres the deal theres 2 amps about the same price. theres the crate gx-130c or the crate stealth 50 watt. everyone keeps telling me that 50 watts on a tube amp equals 100 watts solid state.i dont know if this is true or not? i want it to be loud enough for practice so i dont want to be going through loudness problems. im leaning more towards the stealth i want some honest opinions on what i should do. im going tonight some soon would be cool.  also i paly death metal like skinless, cephalic carnage type stuff.

well, im pretty sure 50 wats is loud enough if its a fulltube amp.
i have a engl 60 watt head, and with the master and lead volume both at 6 im starting to get scared so  .
also, my 60 watt head is WAY louder than the 2x80 watt solidstate poweramp i used to own.

but i see where this guys coming from. its even worse when you ask about two relatively cheap things, knowing their both kind of crappy, but you need it. like a pedal. then someones like KEEP SAVING AND GET _______ its really fucking irritating and happens all the time

exactly i aint got that much to blow on that. i asked between to specific amps because they are around the same price. i dont know if he caught that or not. so how am i the moron when he should have know i aint got tons of money to spend and i identified the two amps.  |

Well I saw a video of some guy over at the BC Rich forums and he used the Stealth 50 watt and it was brutal was fuck.
