i found some left handed jacksons here so I know for a fact they make them but it's beyond me where to find them except online; I've never had to look for a left handed guitar.

well, thats because people are stupid and dont just buy a Carvin. Then, you would be able to have a guitar for a while, and when you go back to buy another one, you know to get Carvin. I am tellin you people, i would at least just check them out, they seriously kick so much ass. Go on ebay, they are like super cheap.

I need more press, then i will make a press kit, then see what happens. So hopefully i will get a band going and just start playing shows, then send my stuff to like guitar 9, and basically just like get quotes from people around here.

alot of people got their start on mike varney's spotlight(malmsteen, yadda yadda). well its bassically a part of guitar player mag. it should get ur name out. but first u have to send a cd, well just pick up a mag and ull see.
if u've never heard of mike varney then check out his record company its called shrapnel records. some of the people signed on shrapnel are:malmsteen,jason becker,Marty Friedman,Tony MacAlpine,vinnie moore,racer X...... so many more.

Dude your best bet is a Jackson or Ran man...I'm lefty too and it is hard as fuck to find a decent guitar that isn't insane. I would not go buying some piece of shit and just make a quality purchase that you won't have to worry about. I saw a 500 buck DK2 Jackson on music123.com its only in red though. Rans can be anywhere. I did a price check on a reversed rhoads and it was 1250 euro. Whatever works best...

My mates a lefty and he's had no end of trouble getting the guitar he wants.
Some shops stock the odd model but most say they can order one but it will cost more. Lets face it you could be waiting months for the order to come through and some places insist on you putting a deposit down also which is a load of crap as you may not like the guitar when it turns up or it might not play how you wish.
It depends how good the music shops are near you.

Amen, i picked one up for 550, overall i think think that they are under rated, most people want jackson, fenders, esp, and etc. because they are popular and look cool. My Carvin is very versital, i can play blues to metal. not to metion there easy to order custom. i would recomend they to anyone.

I'm left handed but play right handed guitars. It's really alot easier. You've got your dominant, and more able hand doing the complex fingerings, while you're right hand just picks, which is a relatively easy motion, just going up and down. I've always wondered why right-handers don't play left handed guitars to have their dominant hand doing fingerings. Also it's easier to find guitars to buy and they're generally cheaper.

i have played left handed over 2 years.it would be hard to start playing right handed...

Gibson makes left handed guitars or you can buy a V and string it for a lefty ,
Im right handed , I dont think I could fret with my right hand and strum with my left . as a righty I fret with the left and strum right handed .I know it seems weird when you think of it , that you fret with your non dominant hand.

Well ussually it takes more endurance to pick rather than fret depending on what your playing, when you pick you tend you use your whole arm or wrist, when you fret you mostly use your fingers and a little wrist, and very little arm. So your dominant hand is stronger (ussually) so you use it for the more demanding work. But I still see what your saying. It really fucking sucks in my case, I played piano for about 9 years, the right hand being the dominant hand because of the lead treble clef work, plus im right handed so it was always my dominant hand. So on the piano I was able to run up scales really really quickly and accuratly. But on guitar I fret with my left hand, and I cant move my fingers as quickly or accuratly as I would be able to if I were to fret with my right hand. Thing is i cant pick with my left worth shit.
