I was just looking around his web site to see if anything new showed up, he had an update this month.
"What's up with the forum downtime?
As many of you have undoubtedly noticed the official Derek Roddy forum has become less and less stable over the past year and have wondered: "What's up with the forum downtime?" Shortly after this site launched the forum was relocated to a different web server due to heavy bandwidth the site was experiencing in an effort to cut costs. Unfortunately this more cost efficient server has become increasingly unstable and has undergone several repairs but nonetheless the server is failing more and more. A new server has been built and a new hosting facility for said server has been procured, one that will allow 24/7 access should something go wrong. The plan was originally to have everything transferred to the new server the last week of June. Due to unforseen circumstances the transfer of data from the old "ghetto" server to the new one could not take place as scheduled. Once new arrangements can be made to transfer the data the forum will be reloaded and should maintain online and accessible just as much as this actual site is. We sincerely apologize for this delay and are making every effort to restore the forum as soon as possible."
Same thing as last time.
