Couple Quick Ones (about my new guitar)
Okay,
I just got a new/used Ibanez, and I was wondering if some of you can help determine the tremolo I have. I posted this under the changing trems in the gear sections, but apparently k13m shat on that. No biggie. I'll delete this thread, cause it is just a waste of space, if someone can just help me out real quick.

Yea, it's not that pretty, the paint job is shot to hell, but the hardware looks to be in good shape. The trem doesn't have the official ibanez engraving on it. Also, has anyone ever used the EVH D-Tuna? It came with this POS and I can't figure out how to make it go up or down a tone? EVH's site doesn't have shit for info either. Lemme know if you need a clearer picture for evaluation, and I'll snap a few high quality ones. Appreciate It!

It says licensed by floyd rose. Is this not a specific mode of tremolo, surely it's gotta be a lo-trs, lo pro, edge, or somthing. I'll look into it more, and contact ibanez. I just figured one of you trem buff could point it out right quickly.

while i cant tell you everything about it just by looking at a serial number like some of these guys...i think its a good trem...i have one...i like it...as for the d-tuna...a guy i knew had one...if i remeber correctly its a push and pull thing...pull it out from the body to go to "D"...and towards the body to go to "E"...or maybe the other way around...hope it helps...

Sand the paint off, and get the paint redone. I'm thinking about buying this old rg, and putting heavy work into it. Unfortunately, its $275. I'll talk down the price if I consider it again. I'll go down there again soon and get a picture of it, and see what you guys think I can do with it.

Sweet, exactly what I'm doing. Going to buy some paint today. Gonna make this my "project." Thanks for the replies on my trem, I'm so stoked it's an edge, that's fuckin badass. Also, I found out it's an Ibanez RG570

a few thing i wanna say
1) sry for deleting the thread 
2) dude, look at the back of ur axe, where the spring are, if u pull the bar up or down, u should be able to read ibanez edge.
ive checked and i have the exact the same tremolo.
mines a piece of shit, and dont anyone bring me crap bout edge pros, cuz they are awesome, but these trems are lo-pro edge, theyre from 2002 (ive checked the part list from ibanez) and those are SHIT imo
edge pros cant be replaced for these suckers, cuz they changed the saddles a bit,
in other words FUCKED UP SHIT, NOW IM STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF SHIT TEM AAAARRGGHHHHHH 
edge pros RULE, no thing bout that, but lo-pro edge trems SUCK
EDIT: my trem has shorter string tightening screw thingy
but from the licensed by floyd ba bla on ther top it has to be a lo-pro edge according to the 2002 parts list from ibanez.

im trying to find out what the differences are btween lo-pro edge and edge pro, from what ive heard its the saddles. on edge pros the string touch halfway the saddle, more back that other trems the guy says, but maybe its possible to replace the sadles from the current trem into a edge pro to solve the problem, i sure fucking hope so

You really have no clue what you are talking about.. a Lo-Pro Edge is just an edge with a lower profile.

yes i know, and those are shit, mine proves it, and i cant replace em for a edge pro, wich rules, im not just talking some random shit dude, ive played more edges than just 2 or 3, ive searched al over fucking internet etc anyway.
om gonna ask the local store, wich is a ibanez dealer, if they can give me some info, cuz i hate this thing. i love the guitar more than my jackson usa, plays just a snice etc, xept the trem sucks
