If you only could have one guitar it would be and why ?
Me Id say a Gibson Les Paul , I have about 8 So if I could just have one, The jimmy Page Les paul would be it , its got a unbelievable thin fast neck , the pick ups are hot its a great playing axe, besides its got the pull pot thing , which I never use but its cool nonetheless

Probably a Ran... but if it had to be a standard guitar, I'd say an Ibanez maybe, even though I've never owned one.

Custom made seven string guitar :
25.5 scale, Virgin body shape ( Preferrably made by Neal Moser ), Seymour duncan JB/59 ( its all about the clarity and note separation with seven strings ), raw Wizard-style maple neck fed through body, mahogany body w/red maple flame sunburst top, ebony fretboard with custom inlays, tone pros locking bridge w/ stop tailpiece, tilt back Widow shaped headstock.

Whatever the best year Gibson LPs were.
I've played a few early 70s that induced euphoria.
Love that thick neck and rich tone.....and action beyond belief.

A Universe 7-string in Pearl White. I could have Eb an Bb tuning on the same guitar, a wide neck to fit my hands too.

custom ran V, but the size of a Jr. V, and not the king V size... kahler trem... duncan customs... recessed plug in the back... that would be almost better than sex.

Yes that would probably be the one I'd choose, even though I've never played a 7 string.
Really, I don't know what's the deal about Gibson LP's. I played my friends LP special that cost him like $1500 for a while and it didn't feel so great. Clean tone was nice, and so was the looks, but I dunno... I expected something orgasmic. His Schecter C-1 blows it the fuck away IMO...

and probably in half matte black or gloss white.

your friend is an idiot if he paid 1,500 for a les paul special. they go new for like $600.
the lp special is pretty much the red headed step child of gibson. great guitars imo, but compared to a studio, standard, deluxe, classic, ect... they arent anything to cream yourself over.

The old style Ibanez Universe 7 with the green pickups which is impossible to find & the Brian Moore C907 7-string which is 5 grand. My Ibanez 7221 7-string has seen better days, If anybody comes across one of those Uni's for sale please let me know. Im suprised alot of people are posting Les Pauls, I had a Les Paul Studio & it wasnt all that i exspected, Just didnt have all the sound that i had hoped for, A month later i sold it.
Here is what the Uni looks like

Definately it wasn't an LP special then, maybe a deluxe. Had an interesting cover, and a pair of gold-covered humbuckers, most likely Gibson humbuckers or a JB and a '59 if I'm not mistaken, same as on his Schecter.

Apparently when COBs guitars got stolen, Alexi had to have a backup to use for the rest of the tour, and he chose to use former Stone guitarist Roope's Jackson.

Custom Ibanez RG. Black Pearl finish, white binding all around the guitar, floyd rose bridge (double locking, of course), Dimarzio P/U, black hardware, diamond inlays, and ADVENT in cursive at the 12th.
Yeah, I'd probably blow a load all over it just to mark my territory.
