Anyone Else Like Overkill?
I haven't noticed anything about Overkill in the forums. So I was wondering what your opinion is on them. What do you like/hate about them? What is your favorite Overkill album? Do you think that they deserve to be more noticed? I like Overkill a lot.  |

Honestly, this is one of those bands that I don't understand why they are popular. Speaking from opinion, the vocalist is a lame thrash version of King Diamond (and that is saying something).

Hey it was the 1980's man!
Yeah Overkill weren't that bad a band, vocals weren't the best and they were never gonna win any awards for being the greatest thrash band in the world, but, hey, they were fun and had some excellent thrash riffs. 
I remember the 'Hello From The Gutter' video, Bobby Gustafson sooooooo wanted to be James Hetfield! He had a white Explorer, black clothing and silly facial hair in it! It's funny cuz it's sad!
Has anyone heard their rendition of Sabbath's 'Changes'? It has an arse guitar solo that just has to be heard to be believed! I don't even think the guitaist had the right backing track playing through his head phones when he recorded it, it's that out of place!  |
