Building a Rack?

Has anyone any information or even any luck with this? I'm thinking of taking apart my now deceased (due to the input jacks and wiring, which are pretty much beyond repair etc) multi effects pedal (zoom8080) and trying to refashion it into a rack style piece of gear, or alternatively buying a couple of pedals and working from there. I'd use this in the effect loop of my amp though, not as a head itself, so I don't know if this qualifies as a rack, but anyway...

Any advice? Me taking apart my pedal is a death sentence for the pedal though as I'm useless with electronics and they frustrate me, but I'm sure I can find someone to help with it if there's hope.

Thanks

you can probably find a dozen threads or so about this, not to be an ass just stating. they will probably answer most if not all your q's

You could build it into a rack unit fairly easily, although controlling it would be a real problem, unless its got midi.

Thanks,
Sorry I didn't think to use the search function, but I'll have a root now. I'll get some pictures of my pedal's corpse and some basic plans:P
