deciding on a new bass

ok i know theres alot of great basses out there and im having trouble deciding which one to buy, my first choice was a spector legend 5 but i would also like some ideas but im only able to spend around 600 dollars, any ideas?

I'm not a warwick expert, you'll have to wait for Tattered to come along, but I think you could get an entry level warwick for that. Maybe look into ESP or a Fender. Depending on what kind of music you're going to play.

warwick warwick WARWICK! Probably better all around than the Fender or ESP.

Yeah warwick are definetely better, but.. the only issue is the cost of them.

If you want a really really good sounding bass, then save up, but if you just want an average bass that you will be intersted in for say.. a year.. then get a 600 dollar bass, just try them out in the store before you buy, its your own personal taste..

I don't give a damn how good anyone says a guitar/bass is. You ALWAYS play it before you buy it.

Exactly, thats why buying basses/amps off the net is so weird, because you dont get to play them first..

Ha. All my local shop carries is fender or peavey so the net is a godsend.

just go to your local music store and play everything within your price range, see which one "speaks" to you.

Spector might also be a good choice if you like the Warwick sound. Warwick is a bit dryer and woodier while Spector has that EMG edge. Not saying one is better than the other though.

yeah i did try the spector in the store and its not a base price of 600 it was reduced to 600 from 900. i dont know if i put this in the last post but it was a spector legend 5
