Self tuning guitar...
Came across this today, pretty neat idea... i'd imagine you'd lose tone from all the cavities for the motors etc. Quite clever nonetheless, check out the videos

Only problem is that you'd never learn how to tune the guitar urself.....but then for those who don't care, then that's a neat looking thing.

it probably sounds like crap. i wouldnt buy one anyway, all i use is Standerd and B and Eb... although it is a good idea, id rather get 3 good sounding guitars and good machine heads

Ha, my friends and I have talked about a guitar that would do this sort of thing... only we imagined the "Computer" part of it to be up on the headstock. It would be good if bands used these live.... we could get near the front and find out exactly what the fuckers tune to!

I reckon that if you've got active EMGs and a floyd rose tremolo, you're gonna have used up as much space (routing for these) as you would for the self tuning motors and computer, still it'll be expensive though.
