im playinng since 1.5years now, like slipknot, SOAD, in flames, and my hand hurt. help!

Firstly, stop playing Slipknot - that could be causing the problem.
Have you been trying anything new and dificult? For example new stretches, weird chords, tremelo picking or shredding?
Which hand is it? Fretting or picking.
