Good Harmonizing pedals?
I'm looking to get a Harmonizer pedal. Mostly one that can do the Carcass harmonizing. What are some good pedals for this?

Harmonizing pedals suck. I've never been able to get a good sounding harmony out of one.

Get a mate From what ive heard, like Kalmah said, the pedals suck. I think you'd be much better off paying more for a higher end rack unit, i forget the name, but im sure someone else round here knows one

my cousins amp has a bunch of built in effects, and it has an octave harmonizer. It sounds pretty bad but its fun to mess around with.

i have an octave pedal and it doesnt do a very good job. from what ive heard, the new digitech whammy pedals are ok and can harmonize at different intervals (3rd, 5th, etc). but in my experience they sound only passable and should only be used if you REALLY dont have a jam mate. becase even on recordings, you can just do it yourself

I'm going to eventually get a really nice rack harmonizer that will deal in minor thirds/major thirds.

yeah i checked the site, I guess it doesn't, the g-major is still a great unit, and defenitely something I'd use if I had a more expensive rack.

the g force has intelligent pitch shifting, the g major doesnt.. i really love the g force for it's flexiblity and ease of use AND excellent sound quality.
with eventide and lexicon units, you need a fucking masters degree in bio chemical engineering to scrape the surface.
if you want harmonizing that is usable you need intelligent, because they can actually play diatonic intervals.
a non intelligent pitch shifter will let you choose a specific interval, but only that one, so it's going to sound stupid sweeping a minor pnetatonic scale with the pitch shift stuck on a minor 3rd.
imho, the eventide h8000 is the best...... but were talking several grand for a dedicated unit and upon purchase, it'll take you a long ass time to figure the fucker out.. the h3000 is like 1/3 the price and still an amazing unit.
most people like harmonizers as novelty effectsfor cool sounds, or are just looking for something to pass off live, and in that case, a boss super shifter or a wh-1 would do just fine.
i doubt i'll ever own an eventide harmonizer... maybe an eclipse(multi fx), but i'm just to damn middle class to drop over a thousand dollars on a single effect i would use sparingly.

Gmajor is very cool
I have one , its a decent piece of gear for not too too much , about $499 US , but I think you need a good ground controler to go with it, I use the GCX , but some like Behringer, The G force is supposedly better but much more costly , TC has a new one out the G system or some stuff like that , its supposedly good but about $1500 US.
I had a boss harmonist which I copped on E bay , sold it , harmony pedals IMHO most suck dont track well and you need to know theory with most to really do it justice
Id try a good Octave pedal instead you may like that as well

nope... something like say, the boss oc-2(i think thats the one). will just do octaves. you need a pitch shifter/harmonizer unit if you want, say, anything else....
