Just a poem I wrote. It might be a nice spoken intro to another piece. (I've still got Moody Blues fever after the concert.) Ooo, I'm getting concept vibes from it now. Hmmm
"Autumn Night"
Asters bloom like a cape waving 'cross the field
Thin smoulder tapering from the fire
Sunset streaks peek through jewelled leaves
The canopy trying to hide the stars
The moon shows it's face, a slivered smile
As the glow of Mars draws near
Mysterious and yet so visible
Up in a sky so clear
The scent of autumn, damp and pungent
The leaves, a carpet of muted hue
To cushion our footsteps as we walk
Days 'til winter becoming few
Clearly the night was made to be
A prime example of beautious delight
Scent of grapes permeats the air
How I love an autumn night
