Botch pretty much were the first Math-Metal band.

They took hardcore and heavy metal, turned into something very technical yet very enjoyable.

They spil at their prime and half of them now play in Minus the Bear where they kept the same heavy/technical guitar riffs but took the distortion off and turned them into brilliant indie/rock/pop songs.

Both come very reccomended.

and MTM I tried 911 tabs earlier, but most of those tabs are pretty lazy/innacurate.

Ah ok, most people don't know about any tab searches, so whatever. Maybe if Tranny gets some Botch I may tab it if I like it

Isn't a lot of death metal very technical?

Yes they are. I might do a proper version of C Thomas Howell as the Soul Man soon: the tapping part looks so wrong on the version at 911tabs.

Yeah, but Botch took it into a more hardcore/punk direction rather than all out nosiey metal.

To be fair they are far from an obvious band that you can get into straight away.

Although personally I think they're more of an albums band rather than singles.

try the "We are the romans" album, the vocals are better and its a better album in general, considered their best work.
