gain/edge/distortion n00b questions
I was wondering what the edge and gain dials on the amp do to the sound, also, how would I tune them to play metal or to play punk (i was trying to play leftover crack today, which is standard tuning but I cant get it to sound like them at all)

Gain - How much distortion is in the sound. Turn it up for metal, and keep it around 5 for punk. For 80s punk, turn it to 7.
Edge - Don't know, don't have an edge button, but I'm guessing its like presence or something.

Edge might be a tone knob or something... some manufacturers like to give different fancy names to setting knobs... my amp's gain knob reads "Drive".
I wonder how long it will take until a manufacturer adds a "Balls" knob to their amps. 
The EQ would look something like this: Low(Balls) - Med(Pussy) - High(Cock). |

Heh, that was my exact intention of labeling mids as "pussy". Of course, turn the "pussy" knob up, and you might increase your chances of playing something that the ladies will want to fuck you for. :P

Presence, I don't realy know how it works, but it adds clarity. If you turn it up, your sound will be a bit glass like. Well, thats what it does for my amp.

Presence = REALLY fucking high frequency that is BARELY detectable by the human ear.
Resonance = opposite, this is in the low frequencies
I think it's for editing the sound to the room you're playing in ?

the guy that said his Gain said "Drive" - is it a Behringer? cause i have the V-Tone starter amp and it says the same thing... nice little amp too...
