Let's play "Name a Combo Amp"

I want a combo amp for small gigs but a cabinet + head is too loud, heavy and large.

I'd be looking to the medium - high price range, but the amp definantly needs to be worthy of the price

I'd prefer an amp which does not require a distortion pedal, but if its the better option then ill purchase a good pedal.

Lets make this straight forward peopl

P.S. sorry for making many threads, after im satisfied ill cut down and enjoy this forum like i should

Haven't played it myself, but have heard good things about it from numerous sources, so a +1 is in order

Basically, its just like the 5150 head, except half the watts ( 60 watts of 5150 is still plenty fucking loud, but it will sound more "cranked" ), and voiced a bit darker. It is quite heavy, but almost any 5150 Combo you buy from E-bay has wheel casters on it, and even if it does'nt, 10$ will get you wheel casters.

Just bought a Tech 21 Trademark 30... the quality of the sound is superb, there's a 60 W model too... definately one of the best SS combos out there.

in general, they suck. especially the solid states. I ain't too high on their tube combo's either, the old jcm 800/900 combo's are allright, the artist ones are ok too, tube poweramp, ss preamp on those old bastards. not too expensive either.

as for prices:

Brunetti Maranello - around 1000 usd
Engl Screamer - around 1100 usd
Engl Sovereign - around 1800 usd
