Drumming Insanity Of The Kollias Variety!
Now you might think this is more suited to the Drum Zone, but I think it could fit in either personally. Besides, more people will see it if I post it here. Move it if you wish.
George Kollias is the downright most ridiculously fast and enduring drummer I have seen (only Flo is in his ballpark). Personally, I think he leaves even Derek Roddy behind with the craziest one footed blasts I have ever seen...... INCREDIBLE!!!!
http://www.metallabs.com/KILLER_VID...orgesVideos.zip
It's about 35MB for 2 clips I think, everyone must download this......

I find Annihilation to be Nile`s best record ever, with black seeds and darkened shrines being close.

you guys are gay. Yes George is good, But he is NO RODDY. If you give a listening to I, Monarch you will hear the craziest drumming ever recorded, track number three in the middle he lays a beat ontop of a blastbeat I dont see anyone else doing that shit. So until then shut up and show the proper respect to THE MAN DEREK RODDY.
Fuck all you haters.

Get Derek's nuts out of your mouth. Are you trying to tell me George couldn't do that? He's doing 8ths on the 1st snare and alternating between the hi-hat and second snare with his other hand.... it's good shit, but nothing that impressive skill wise.... If he was hitting the cymbal at the same speed he hits the first snare, and still keeping that beat going, then....
...Anyway, George has gone faster then Derek has on any Hate Eternal album, while still being ridiculously precise. He chucks in all sorts of little jazzy cymbal parts as well, unfortunately, many get lost in the mix, due to the fact that the cymbals aren't loud enough in AOTW's production. Plus, Derek hasn't had to play 9 minute songs live either. Don't get me wrong, Derek is a crazy motherfucker, but I think George has topped him on the latest Nile record.
And yeah Zionist, Darren Cesca is a fucking nutter, definately one of my favourites. But George is the best drummer for Nile in my opinion (Derek just behind), he's more precise than Tony if you ask me.

Yep.
Also, I find this guy good. His name escapes me, but he does some of the fastest one-handed blasts I've heard.

Oh, and of course: the mighty Jarda from Alienation Mental. I'd prefer his style of drumming (the chaotic play-whatever-the-fuck-he-feels-like style) as opposed to Derek Roddy/Laureano/Kollias tighter-than-a-virgins-cunt style.

no Derek is doing the second snare hit with his foot, his first snare, hi-hat-and bass drum (yes, his blasts on most songs are one-footed, unless he's double timing it.) I've seen him do it live on two different occasions, with songs off of KOAK, so no I don't think George can do that.
You can say what you want about him but I've witnessed the guy do it, And of course he throw some jazz and fusion in there, That's what influences him. I read an interview with Randy Piro, he said that no-one in the band really looks toward other death metal for inspiration.

Try that then.
And BOSE, I've seen Derek too, unfortunately he wasn't playing on his kit, but after seeing those Kollias vids, I'm still sure he could do that. Derek does harder shit than that himself.
