Tribal Sounding Bands?
My friend is trying to get off slipknot, and I guess the only reason he liked them is because of the tribal sound the drums made. What bands do you recommend him? I already suggested Nile and Opeth.

I think MetalTabs has a rehab center for nu-metal or something ( think the ending of Orwell's "1984" and you'll get the general idea ) 
When you say "tribal" I suppose you mean bass-heavy percussion. Meshuggah is always good. Especially compared to Slipknot. |

Does anyone listen to sarcaphago? theyre a south american band, i havent herd them yet, but definetely sepultura as the kings of the tribla sound, and yes soulfly are kinda shite

Oddly enough, I wouldn't call Ektomorf etremely tribal, but they do have that sort of flavour to me.
