neways, im looking for a cheap eq pedal, the boss seems a bit dear so i wanna get a cheaper eq pedal. does anyone know what other good yet cheap eq pedals are available?

danelectro. its not bad. you gotta use a eq pedal right. dont boost just cut. if you do boost make it very little.

I have never tried the Fish n' chips pedal but I will say that anything else I have tried made by Danelectro was pure shit. Make sure you can return it just in case you hate it.

I've actually heard numerous praises for the Fish 'n Chips. Usually within a series of shit pedals there's one gem. IE, the Fish 'n Chips in the Danny Mini-pedal series, and the Bad Monkey in the digitech distortion series....

Danelectro Fish and Chips.. It cant take as much abuse as the Boss GE-7 but its is mroe repsonsive and quiter..

and alot cheaper.

When I bought my Boss DS-1, I had to save for a while.
So I get it and the dude says, "You want batteries with that?"
I said, "It doesnt come with a power supply?"
He said, "Ha...nope"

So I used my Level 52 confusion spell and did the sad eyes and pouted lip thingy and said, "But I saved forever for this and don't know what I'm going to do now."

He looked around and went behind the counter and produced a Danelectro adapter and slid it in my hand....have used it forever too.

Well, the danelectro one has slightly less noise and is cheaper compared to the boss, but the boss one looks better (the daneletro mini's look realy ridicoulus IMO) and doesn't actualy break when you step on it.
If you want something that lasts more than 2 gigs, get the boss one.
But do whatever you want, as long as you get an EQ pedal. Nobody can live without at least one

I just want to get one and put it behind my amplifier ... so no one can see it ... The Crate head only takes up so much space on the Genz Benz cabinet, and you could easily use a small cord and run it through the effects loop, keeping it out of harm's way. And the eyes of discriminating listeners.

I want to get one because I want the sound of my amp cranked to 50-60 % power at 90-100% volume ... or at least can you do that using an EQ as a boost?

You could do that but it will be hissy as hell without a ISP Decimator. You can only boost so much before it becomes just noise. A BBE sonic maximizer will help to boost output volumes better then a GE-7.

Exact same. The EQ on my BV is beautifully responsive. However, when i play on my Marshall, i need an EQ pedal. I've determined the EQ knobs on that amp dont really do anything, they're just for looks.

i actually have the basement to myself.. it's kinda like a duplex.

i'm just living here while i'm going to college because it's cheap rent. that way i can afford classes and shit. because with $8.00 an hour at a call center. it'd be hard to handle an apartment,gas,insurance,cell phone bill, college classes, food, clothes,and most importantly.. GEAR.

i don't mind living here, my parents are chill, i can come home any hour of the night, come and go whenever i want. they don't care about having friends or girls over. loud music, ect... i'm blessed with cool parents that just come home from work and drink.

i kick them a couple hundred a month to let them know i appreciate it.

I got a few OD808(overdrive), a GE601(EQ), AD999(analog delay), FL-9 (flanger), AF-9(auto filter), RD-1 rust driver(overdrive) by Hao, SM-2 silver machine wah by Automagic/MSD and power supplys and shit. it wasnt too bad of a deal.
