I discovered this band while reading a Decrepit Birth interview or something like that. I noticed Tim Yeung was the drummer and that's all I needed to check the band out considering Tim is my favorite drummer ever.

Aurora Borealis is a black metal band that I can actually stand. It seems like all the band relies on is brutal drumwork. I say this because Tony Laureano (Nile) and Derek Roddy (Hare Eternal) were in the band before Tim. The guitar isn't great but it's just as good if not better than what I normally hear in black metal and the same goes for the vocals. Here's a MP3:
