Darkest Hour, The Absence
Just got back from an overall incredible show... had a lot of high and low points
First up was Bloodjinn. They were decent. Kinda boring cuz it was just basic american metalcore crap, but the guitarist was good so they werent too bad.
Next was The Absense. Pete (IHave27frets) was in top form, played everything perfect, but something went wrong with one of his sexy Caparison guitars. Then, after he switched guitars, he forgot to plug the new one in. He had the cord hanging from his pocket. It was rather comical. The band as a whole was amazing, great stuff.
Third band up was Haram or something like that. Good drummer, but i hated the music. I was bored, so i wandered back to the merch booth.
Fourth band was The Autumn Offering. I'd seen them before, so i knew i was in for a shitty show, so i remained at the booth and at the bar.
So now we're standing at 2 shitty bands in a row. Next band is Since By Man. Shitty doesnt even begin to describe them... it was that "scream-your-lungs-out-and-play-random-shit" kind of shit. It was shit, shit, shit to the core. I remained at the bar.
Next was the all mighty Darkest Hour. They were absolutely insane, i got to stand right in front of Kris. WE TOTALLY MADE EYE CONTACT OMG. He's an amazing guitarist. The police told them to turn their volume down, so, being the rebels they are, proceeded to turn it up. Last i heard, they weren't fined or anything, so thats cool.
Great show overall, but man did a few of the bands suck. Pete gave me a shirt from the Absence, and i bought a shirt from DH. Plus, they had a bunch of free shit from Jagermeister... i got a hat and a shirt. Great show, especially for only $12.

I dont remember much, but here is what i do remember
started with With A Thousand Words to Say But One
Convalesence
Payphone and Pills
Sound the Surrender
So Sedated, So Secure
The Sadist Nation
i know they played a lot of stuff from the new album, which is understandable, considering it came out yesterday.

Which is why i figured that the one song they played that they said was new was Convalesance... cuz i hadnt heard it yet. Ive been listening to Undoing Ruin, i have to say i like it more than Hidden Hands. i love both though.
