why wont my guitar stay in tune

hi

if this has been mentioned before
then im sorry.

i know its been mentioned before
about how a guitar with a licensed trem is nowhere
near as good as an original.
but is there any reason why i tune my guitar to perfect pitch
standard and i lock the nut at the top and it goes completely out
or when i play a song in standard
and i play a different son in the same tuning or even same key
and its in tune for the 1st song and not for the 2nd

btw has it got anything to do with
innotation or the neck or sumthin

any help is much appreciated
cuz im pissed of really

also somethin i forgot to mention
when i reach past the 12th fret
its completely out of tune on the e b and g

are all the nuts holding the strings (both on the nut and bridge) as tight as they can be? I had that problem a bit and just tighting the bolts and it seemed to go away

dont know about the getting past 12 fret and it out of tune...odd

yeah its really strange about it going out at the 12th and up
but i will tighten the nuts a bit more and see if that makes a difference
hopefully it does. is there anything else it could be?

if its not too bad I think you can turn the truss rod a bit (wouldnt suggest you do it) and it may fix it but if its really bad then your fucked. is it a bolt on?

The problem of the e, b and g strings being out of tune past the 12th fret may be because of the intonation. You need to check it and adjust it appropriately.

You can just use your tuner to see if the intonation is correct. Just pick each string when fretted at the 12th fret and look at the tuner. the high e string should show e, the b string b etc.

ive tryed the thing with the intonation
and like it says tighten it to the nut if its flat or the opposite
but it only tightens so far so how do i tighten it more for the intonation
to be ferfect pitch at the 12th fret?

when you tighten the locking nut the guitar always goes outta tune
thats what the fine tunners are for, just adjust it on that
well it always happens on licences, i dunno about officials tho.

Yeah you need to fine tune it, you should get it set up by a profesional first though.
