at this point i am too tired to look at my amp and tell you my settings. i like a little bit of mids for definition and lots of bass and treble, but not too much distortion or else you get muddy or mosquito in the sounds.

Ive only asked for settings once, and that was from BLS for a recommendation on what was fucking up the tone I had dialed in on my 5150.

he's not really asking for settings for own use. He likes to know what other people find good. But how many people on this board have a single rectifier


But what I meant to say in previous post is that settings on amps change often ( atleast mine do ) So i just mix some settings from various band sounds I like and fuck with the knobs untill i created my "own sound"

it all depends on the style, the guitar and the room.

overall i find i'm most comfortable with the vintage setting... i like driving it hard more than i like "not driving" the modern setting. plus the voicing is more appealing.

the mid control is key... once you have it where you're comfortable with it. it gets so much easier to dial in tones.

and be careful how much bass you throw in there. it might sound good when you're at low volumes or playing by yourself. but once the band gets going you're going to turn into mud.
