Well i have the opportunity to trade my Explorer for this head and i wanted to know some of your experiences.

Im not really a fan of this whole 'amp modeling' mumbo jumbo but since i saw Brian Hoffman use one of these and his tone was pretty brutal, and its currently the only option i have i think ill take my chances. I really wish i could go for an all tube head but since im a poor motherfucker and only have gear i can trade thats currently out of the question.

Since this amp is 200/300 watts i should be able to turn it up to a good volume level without getting that crappy SS sound.

And if all goes wrong i could probably sell it and get a decent all tube head on the used market, or trade it for another head.

So please post your experiences and thoughts on this amp.

If you're gonna trade it and get a tube head if you don't like it, why don't you just save up for a good one to begin with?

Those are great heads but everyone says they suck for some reason. Bands that use them I know of are...

Suffocation (at one point on tour)
