How do you get like controlled feedback like Slash in GNR do sometimes. And i know that it's not the distortion, cos he uses like 6 of 10. Does anybody know?

You adjust your position to the cab, and just fiddle with the guitar

Huh? What do you mean?

Face the cabinet (make sure you've got enough volume and gain to get feedback), and the feedback will start to kick in, you can mute the strings or use the volume to control the amount of feedback, and altering the position of the guitar will adjust the 'pitch' of the squeal.
