These are just as great as any other quality cab if not better. Plus they will install any speakers you want. You simple can't beat these cabs.

yes, those Engl cabs are heavy as fuck but they sound heavy too... which is good.

I quite like VHT and Diezel cabs but they're pretty expensive, the Uberkab is good too, those must be the 3 best cabs I ever played right there.

I think they do. They have a store in Holland that supplies Europe now. I know they get some of their speakers from the UK so I would think they would sell cabs there too.

I'll have a closer look, i saw the 'we only ship to the 48 US states, nowhere else' blurb, and my heart sank

Been looking at the Rivera K412T cab, anyone played it before?

I didn't want to make a different thread about this...
but what makes cabs differ from each other? I can understand different speakers make a difference, and different woods and closed back v.s. open back, but are there any other factors other than that? Are expensive cabs realy that different from cheap ones?

I don't have a cab or played trough only two different ones ever, so that may explain my ignorance

You listed right there what makes a difference, speakers, woods, closed/open back, and also dimensions, as this will determine which frequencies are naturally 'boosted' by the cab

What also makes a cab better then others is the way it's constructed and if it's acustically sound. You just can't put good spaekers in a wooden box and expect it to sound good. There is some math that can be used to determine the angle of the speakers from each other, the space between them, the volume of space in the box, and the dimentions of the box in order to get a specific tone and frequency defined.

Plus, everything has to be tested against vibrations and rattles.

Chars!

how powerful is the head you're going to be running? if it's anything over 80w i'd say to look at the framus dragon cab... because the cobra cab is a greenback cab rating at 100w. and the way tube heads work, they can often put out a little more than what they say they can...

the dragon cabs are vintage 30's so they handle 240w.

Looks nice If you want it then I say go for it. Right now you will not find it for cheaper. I like C 30's and good construction in a cab to but I'm getting Avatar to make mine.

Yupp, 100 w is the effect before breakup. I.e I read about JMP's, they go up to about 150 or more watts before the limit is reached.
