post your anti-religion lyrics
do as the title says please... here i wrote some.
In a thunderstorm from hell, the lightning is feirce.
The lightning is formed on the ground.. not in the sky, as it strikes the clouds setting the heavens on fire.
Flashes bright enough to blind you, roars of thunder loud enough to take your hearing.
Souls of the deceased are quickly running down the stairway to heaven as the stairway is collapsing.
All in the apocalypse in heaven.
Demons ascending, breaking down the pearly gates, deminishing the souls of the pure and fighting off the saints.
Everyone on earth is confused and crying.
Preists and ministers all terrified, clutching their bibles, reciting pointless verses.
There will be no happy ending.
when put into a song it won't be sung, but spoken in a sort of choirs of devastation, or dead flag blues idea. i whipped these up in a little while, during a thunderstorm. now let's see all of yours.

you should only write about that kind of stuff if it is something you beleive in
that does not mean church burnings etc and most god bashing stuff is pretty weak.

And to turn that back at you.... Religion offends many people. Do they not have the right to express their views?
If this thread offends thee.....dont click it.

Hahaha, oh, this got real amusing. Personally I think it's how the anti-religion thing is portrayed. If it's just a blood and guts of believers in a certain thing all over the place then I'm not sure I'd find that too cool. But there are many religions and some I do not agree with at all. I'm a Christian myself, but there's things about organized religions that I don't like. Like those nut jobs that are so political and think their way is the only way. But I'm not real versed in political things so I tend to leave them alone.
Were you meaning something in particular or just any religion in general?
One of the reasons I find the forum I mod at and this one so appealing is because they don't have the censorship that others do. I'm not just talking about language, but ideas and formats, too. I don't like the idea of being told that I can't write a particular thing because someone else doesn't agree with it. That's very undemocratic and completely against my religion, but I can disagree and express it if I want to.

Well, Tullie wrote of an orange sky in a tornado and you're writing anti-religious in thunderstorms. I wrote about heat not long ago. This is like the Weather Channel only most of the music's better! (Unless they're playing Satch which I have heard before.)
Inspiration comes from all over and you were struck. Aint' nothin' wrong with that.
And now for the Weekend Forecast.......

My apologies to you, Newhell.
It's not this thread that offends me, it's the idea that someone would go out and rag on someone's beliefs instead of being creative. And I like to think this forum is creative.

As a child my dad burned my Motley Crue cd's,
and since then I swore I'd get even.
I ranted and raved through a heavy metal band,
And that band I named after a demon.
I dress in black clothing and wear an inverted cross
Those christians I'm sure to offend.
Blasphemous gestures, I pittle and pester,
Its easy to see I pretend.
To mock the pious, and stamp out the righteous,
I call myself one of Satan's own henchmen.
Ironically enough, in an effort to look tough,
I've pledged my allegiance to a biblical invention .

These look like really, really bad mid-80's Slayer ripoff lyrics. The exact kind I used to write when I was 14 (I'm suspecting and hoping you are at that age level). Luckily, I had enough foresight not to post them on an online forum where everybody could make fun of me. Apparently, you do not.
For the record, this isn't even remotely anti-religious. You generally want to have a basal understanding of the broad concept of theology before attempting anything anti-religious. Since the only people who believe in demons and hell are Christians, a song about demons storming the gates of heaven is written from a decidedly Christian point of view. If anything, these lyrics are pro-religion.

In her bestest Masta Shake voice-- You had me leave an intellectually stimulating conversation at chitchat for these??? Do you really want me to comment on them? Okay, I will. They rocked. They were so dumb they were cute. lol There. I told you what I thought. I'm going to find some mooninites and see if they want to hang out for awhile.
Those were chucklingly good.

I watch too many darn cartoons. Satanz Palz could be the counterpoint to Jesus and Pals on South Park. Your band could be like Paul Short-Pain-In-The-Ass-Whatchamacallit like on Letterman's or whatever talkshow he plays on now.
Sometimes those impulsive onces are the best. I'd like to know where they come from.

Would you go write something? You're beginning to bother me, kid! lol
I just meant that some pieces take forever and are a ton of work and other things I can't write fast enough they happen so fast.

A few years ago I wrote a whole album with the intention of starting a band called Gorelord 2000. At the time, I didn't know there was an actual band cheesy enough to go through with really using the name Gorelord, and when I found out, I figured it was easier to scratch the whole project than come up with a new band name. Since this is on topic with what you were talking about, here is the track listing-
Quote:
1. Gorefully Exhuming The Disgorged Fetal Embryo (Digging Up the Eggs You Barfed Out)
2. I Could Kick Your Ass
3. Me and Satan- Pals Forever
4. They Can't Prove That I'm Your Daddy
5. Billy Joel Knows Nothing of Eternal Flames (I Started the Fucking Fire!)
666. Cruelly Laughing Whilst You Carve 666 into the Tortured Old Oak Tree of 500 Forlorned Years
8. Parker Lewis Is A Loser, But Ferris Bueller's Name Is Gayer
9. Inverted Forlorned Invocations Dom Nekck Yeiter Parfum Yegermeister
10. Evilly Reciting Anti-Christian Poems In Latin Because Latin Is The Language of Evil 666
11. Gorefully Roasting The Devil Goat In It's Own Juices (Mostly Because I'm Evil, Partly Because I Want a Sandwich)
12. I'm So Evil I Laugh About It While Putting an Invocated Necro-Curse on Your Daughter's Favorie Barbie Doll (Doomfully Dooming Your Soon-to-be Doomed Toys)
14. Eternal Castration
15. 13 Reasons Why I Am Evil
1666. 666 Reasons Why I Am Evil
17. 69 Reasons Why I Am Evil
18. Chapel of the Morbidly Deceased
19. Haunting the Chapel of the Morbidly Deceased
20. I Bet You $50 I'm More Evil Than You Think
21. The Archangel's Revenge (It's Kind of Like Montezuma's Revenge, But Different)

The funny thing is that I actually wrote lyrics and music for a lot of these tracks. Holy shit, how bored was I? There were also tracks I intended to not write any music or lyrics for, just to confuse anyone trying to listen to that masterpiece-of-shit.
Most of the songs were like just little inside jokes between me and different people I know, and they probably aren't very funny to anyone not in the know. Anyone who doesn't like the title "Eternal Castration", however, is a total homo.

That's a good point. And you're correct...it validates the myth.

I liked 21 myself. But the running thing with the bets was amusing. I can only imagine what some of those had for lyrics. Did your friends ever read any of them?
I've written a lot of pieces where certain people will get inside jokes or whatever from what I've said so I know what you mean. It's fun that way sometimes, too.
Since this is technically on topic, a friend sent me a piece that he wrote recently that's religious in nature and he found out that a friend had a religious epiphany at almost the same time he finished the lyric. I thought that was pretty cool.
