The Locust yes/no/maybe?

I was thinking of tabbing some locust songs from plague soundscapes. I am sure people who have heard it will have mixed opinions. I reckon if Converge and Dillinger Escape Plan have been archived, I reckon The Locust should be able to. I know its not down to me but would it be allowed?

how can you tab the notes thru the synth effects?, and who could tell if you're wrong? im not against the idea, im just curious coz there isnt much off off plaguesoundscapes thats straightforward and the moog covers everything usually, maybe the earlier stuff but good luck on anything after the drummer switch. i seen them live a couple of times, its real complex and precise guitar work

at the moment i have two songs tabbed

Live from the russian compound
23 lubed schizophrenics........

The way I have tabbed them is by tabbing the main synth riffs and then the guitar that is underneath. In fact these two songs are very very easy on guitar from what i have got. The other songs are stupidly technical but these weren't too bad.

I guess I just wait for Nomad to stick his head around the corner......

You can just post them anyway - it will probably incur an executive decision a lot quicker. The worst that will happen is that they will get rejected.

hmmm i have a question - how do they accept the tabs? Do they download the song and then try and learn the song from tab or just look at it as a full tab and allow it to go on the site?

A combination of things, really. Residing within Nomad's taste is the main criteria but he'll often consult metal-archives.com (or somewhere like that) for their definition of what genre a band is considered to dwell. Generally, nu-metal and hardcore are immediate no-no's, but most forms of metal are accepted. Even black metal.

yeah I see what you mean - I would call The Locust grind - math core or definitly in the same vein as dillinger escape plan but with a synth. But maybe with a synth it means it art noise or some crap. I have submitted the tab and i guess i will soon find out. Cheers for the advice
