Considering buying a new Jackson
I've recently bought a Jackson KVX10 and I'm extremely happy with it. The neck is perfect, plays smoothly and looks great but I want to buy another guitar so I can tune my V down to B and have the new one as E standard.
I've considered a few guitars and I'm not sure which one to buy. The next one I want needs a thin, fast neck because I want it mainly for shredding and a locking tremelo (all the guitars I'm considering have JTS80 double locking tremelo). I want it to look descent as well. I'm currently thinking about:
Jackson DX10DFS (X series) $865 AU
It has the Firestorm boost switch, looks good (reverse headstock and sharkfin inlays but has a generic 'strat' body shape) and has the same humbuckers as my V but it has a thicker neck (my V is .735" 1st fret and .810" 12th fret. This is .775" and .880").
Jackson DK2FS (Pro series) $944-$1098 AU (depending on the finish)
Has the Firestorm too but the same neck as my V. No reverse headstock though and has single coiled p/u at the neck.
Jackson KE3 (Pro series) $1023-$1180 AU
Has a thin as fuck neck (.720" and .805") and looks fucking awesome especially with the Eerie Dess Swirl.
I'm swaying towards the KE3.
I don't want to hear "GET A FUCKING RAN CUZ DEY RULEZ!!!!1!1" because getting even a standard would cost around $2000 AU (including shipping) plus the countless time having it shipped, customs and all that bullshit when it takes 3 days to get an awesome Jackson to me with free freight and at half the price (I can always get EMGs put into it for a few hundred extra bucks).
Can I please hear your opinions about how relevant the Firestorm boost switch is, if the neck sizes make a noticable distance or If any of these are actually descent.
Thanks
EDIT: Fuck. I just realized this should be in the Gear forum.

I have an RX10D and it's pretty kickass. I keep it in standard for now but when i change the strings i'm gonna attempt to intonate it to D standard.
Out of the ones you have, i think the KE3 would be of the highest quality. But i've heard NUMEROUS good things about the DXMG guitar....

I played a RR5 today. It was pretty nice $1000+ USD with some shitty options but it played very well. The real SD's set it off. Played so nice

I didn't like the RR5 that much. It actually has all the specs I want in a guitar, except for the pickups. I thought they were kinda weak.

I did check ebay. There was a KE3 and I'm gonna get it for $700AU, which is pretty awesome.
As far as pickups go, I'll probably get EMG 81/85 combo soon anyway.
I'm getting another Jackson because I'm fucking impressed with the one I recently got. Several other guitar brands considered good for metal ie. Schecter, ESP, Washburn aren't easily available in Australia, which sucks bat's anus. I could have gone with Ibanez or BC Rich but it seems that I'd have to spend more money to get the descent quality guitars.

i say go for a jackson DK2, because it has scalloped heel and is about the same price as DKMG, and also looks sorta like a soloist
