Carcass Reunion?
"According to a posting on the Earache Records-affiliated web site www.metaltracks.com, strong rumours gathered from the mouths of Jeff Walker and Bill Steer of Liverpool gore grind superstars CARCASS and Adrian Erlandsson, formerly of Swedish melodic death metal masters AT THE GATES, at the recent Metal Hammer Awards in London suggest that both bands are considering reforming and going on tour together in the near future. No further information is currently available."

Jeff Walker writes for Decibel and I quote "Bill Steer and I recently signed a drunker/stoned pact agreeing we'd never do it..." after being asked about a Carcass reunion. This was in March.

I have a strong suspicion that it would not go well if they attempted to write more stuff.

Wont happen..
The drummer is in a fucking wheelchair, and Bill hates metal..
Plus Amott seems very happy with Arch Enemy..
This is as likely to happen as the At The Gates reunion.. which was already shot down as a rumor.

The only good thing they could do is to not write anything, just do a tour - completely ignoring music of swansong (just like metalica don't play anything of the Load/Reload albums)

Even if they did get together they would mostly play stuff off of Heartwork and probably Swansong. Since during their last times live the refused to play stuff out of their Gore era since they deemed it "Immature and Untallented". But they may have changed their minds. But I don't see it happening anyway.

I dont think it was a brain tumor.. I think he had a stroke that paralysed him from the neck down or something.

If I recall he had some form of brain tumor which halted the career of Blackstar! He has recovered, though I don't know if he's playing drums again. But he did put together the Carcass 'Choice Cuts' album last year.

There is nowt wrong with the retro rock sounds of Firebird! I mean once you've been in Carcass what else can you do? He'd be slagged off something chronic if he tried to re-heat the same pie and form another extreme/grind band! I for one am glad he decided to do something different and we still get to hear his guitar playing!
After all aren't half of Firebird also in Spiritual Beggars which is the other retro rock band formed by ex Carcass and Arch Enemy guitar bod Michael Amott!

necrot's production is one of the best ever for their type of music. the audio equivalent of a rotting corpse.

I don't care what they did for melodic death metal. I don't like that album. Simple. Just because they influenced a legion of melodic death metal bands does not mean I have to like that album.
