after giving the album several listen through's, i think it kicks ass, the vox are great, there plenty of killer melodic metal riffs, and a great guitar sound, IMO

not as good as unearth, similar in that they both are metalcore, but unearth is definitely the better band.

AILD and Unearth are nothing alike. True, they are both metalcore, but that is a very restricting way to describe them both. Very dissimilar bands, and yes, Unearth beats AILD by a consistancy ruling.

Bleeding Throughs music is nothing but B tuning played through Les Pauls and EMG pickups, with an overly excessive amount of squeeling and unoriginal, repetitive riffage. Fuck, if my 10 year old sister had a Les Paul with EMGs wailing through a bunch of stacks she could do pinches every two seconds too.

About As I Lays new release 'Shadows are Security', I'd have to say that after listening to the whole album a couple times, I'm as equally impressed with it as i was when i first heard Frail Words Collapse. It has quite the same 'moshy' feel to it, but the guitars and singing are sounding a bit better than Frail Words Collapse. The guitars for one are much more clear and distinctive I find, not as muffled out as FWC. The riffs have improved a bit, with a little more technicality which they definitely needed, and the harmonies have a bit more dynamic to them. Overall, I think its a slightly better album, but they haven't done anything wildly different than what they did on FWC. I'll give it a 6.5 - 7 of 10.

I got the new album a while back and now they're my new favorite band. I like them MUCH more than Unearth who I do like. I just wished Tim did the clean vocals so I could respect him more, but Clint has an awesome voice. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Dammit christianiastheshit, I used the scoring method because of you!

Shadows has grown on me, I love it so damn much. I don't think it's left my car's cd player since I got it. Plus I think the new line up is better, Paul kicks Even's ass at guitar in my opinion.
