damn . they once had an agile les paul with a floyd rose copy. i f only i could get my hand one one ... to bad they don't sell it anymore
agiles and sx's look like nice project guitars ( as in decent wood ,crappy hardware that CAN be replaced and yes CHEAP )
I envy you guys . Rondomusic doesn't want to ship to my country

I own an Agile and they're great. Best Les Paul copies ever. Now from what I've heard SX guitars are horrible. I wouldn't take my chances on it.

Anyone know anything about Duglas guitars? Rondo sells a killer flyring V iwth 24 frets for hella cheap.
The Douglas Hornet is only 130 bucks. I paid more than that for my accoustic.

Sure, it might look nice, but that's not enough to see how good it is. And a lot of acoustics cost over a grand.

Whats wrong with Alder??
The floyd can be replaced..
Bolt on?? Bolts are great, give me a bolt on over a neck through or set neck ANYDAY.
Rosewood fretboard?? Yeh.. its the industry standard.

honestly, you just pointed out how ridiculously much a guitar depends on personal preference.
for me, give me neck through, no trem, ebony fretboard, mahagony body

+1, I still like neck-through though.

That's why I asked if anyone knew anything about them. It just seems like such a bargain. I figure since it's so light, the sustain probably sucks, that's why I'd put EMG's in it. While I do prefer Duncans, I think for this particular number, actives would be the way to go.
Also, I don't know much about basswood. I believe I read somewhere that it's a pretty dense wood, a good material for a solid body electric.
I'm really in love with the looks of this thing, but like you said, the looks aren't enough. Anyone out there ever play one of these damn things? Or do you know anything about the brand? It's a Douglas Flying V.

I know, but not a damn Mitchell. Paid $150 for that bitch brand new, and it plays and sounds like a fucking dream. It's a solid top, too, not laminate.
