24.75 scale Vs 25.5! Match of the Century! *DING* *DING*
Ive been using 25.5 scale guitars for some time (hell there are alot more of them then 24.75), but recently Ive been lusting over some Deans and I was wondering how much more slack is there with 24.75 scale over 25.5 when tuned to B . Right now Im using .13-.56 so their pretty hefty (note : anyone know anything bigger?).

Nergal from Behemoth is using a Dean in that "Conquer All" video... and they tune to B. Fat strings would be a good idea to keep more tension.

I can't really feel much difference between the two scale lengths until I move above the 17th fret. As far as having a effect on tuning? I have never noticed a big difference there either.

In theory you get more tension with 25.5 and more space on lower frets, so the general co ncenus is if you tune to e std on a 9-42 gauge on a 25.5 scale guitar it'd be like using 10-46(in E std) on a 24.75 scale guitar.....
Depends what kinda tension you wan't loose or tighter?

It will be a bit looser and less articulate.
