help with replacing pickups
I have a BC Rich Bronze series Warlock... of course the stock pickups were peices of crap and the springs shot the screws out so now they're loose and hardly pick anything up. Naturally, I want to replace them. Will just about any pickup fit or will I have to do some body work to make it fit?
Also... I want pickups that are really good for playing thrash metal. Something that Dan Spitz or Kirk Hammet used to use. Any help?
Thanks.

Kirk Hammet uses two EMG 81, but I don't recommend that to anybody. Maybe EMG 60 for neck position and 81 for bridge.

The active EMG's would be best for a warlock bronze.

Considering how its a shit guitar, made of shit wood....go for the EMGs.
They dont get as much of their tone from the woods as passives do, therefore its better go active, seeing as how Bronze Warlocks suck mountain goat balls.
(and yes...i owned one......)

I was just pointing out to him that it isnt an uncommon mistep as a n00b guitarist to buy a POS like a bronze warlock.

I thought passives like the X2N would be bad in a shitty agathis bronze series warlock.

have a read of this if your thinking about shredding with the pickups:
http://www.shredaholic.com/shredpickups.html
I got the experts at the seymour duncan forum to help evaluate the best pickups for shred and their pros and cons, I think this would help you
