looking for a bass amp
I need a loud-ass bass amp with good tone, but around or under $550. any suggestions? I'm looking at a SWR workingman and an Ampeg BA155, but no guitar stores around carry them, which one is better, or do they both suck?

I'm no bassist but it seems most things ampeg makes for bass are pretty good.

do marshall and stranger make bass amps?

I've never seen a Marshall bass amp. And I need as loud as I can get for my pricerange without sacrificing tone too much.

Marshall has a JCM 800 bass head, or atleast i beleive i saw one almost bought it too for 350

Cube-100.
Best tonal variety a SS has to offer, while being loud enough to overpower any drummer.

which would be louder, the Cube 100 or a Hartke 2000 amp head and an Avatar B212 cab? They're about the same price.
edit: louder and better. I'm really not looking for low weight, that's not much of an issue.
