So, i've got this nice long 6m guitar lead, but as i've had it for a few months, its starting to get coiled up when i play now. I keep uncoiling it (take both ends out and straighten appropriately), however it doesn't stay uncoiled for long Any tips/ suggestions as to how i can stop it coiling up so much, and how to uncoil it better?

when you wrap/unwrap the cable, twist it with your fingers so that it wraps iteself into place. its better for your cable too. when you untangle it just make sure its all straight as in no twists

Stop turning in circles in the same direction. I do the same shit. I've found it is easier to just untwist it as necessary than to pay attention to whether or not I've turned around to left 5 more times than the right...

man, i used to have the same problem, i thought it was voodoo or something twisting my cables.... then i watched a video of my band playing... man i must have made 20 somethin full turns.

so i consciously started making sure i didn't spin so much. and the problem is pretty much gone.
