Weird problem?????
Ok, I've got the emg zakk wilde set in my esp m-350 and I'm having a problem and I'm not sure what it is. When I play, lets say a lead run from the 12th fret 6th string(big string) up to the 24th fret 1st string(small one), the overall volume gets softer, and its a pretty noticable difference.I think, but not absolutly sure, its only been with digitech stuff, gnx4 and a metal master stomp. Have any of you guys had this problem, or maybe its normal , I dont know but it sure dont seem right. Please help cause its pissin me off. Thanx

just to clarify, the volume gets softer when I play on the first or second string up between the 12th and 24th fret but when I play on the 4th 5th or 6th string down on lower frets the volume is noticably louder.

what kind of strings are you using? if you're using hybrid strings... light top heavy bottom... that could contribute

Maybe the pickup is closer to the low strings than it is to the high strings. You can adjust that with a simple screwdriver if that's the case

No compresor in use. Somebody said it might be clipping do to the high output of the pickups, what does that mean?

Well, lower tones clip and distort faster than higher ones. No idea how it relates to volume tough.

Try turning the gain down or the volume on the guitar down and see what happens.
