Has anyone here heard of this new wave of prank calls going around? Basically, this guy phones people in their motel/hotel rooms, convinces them that there is a gas leak in the building and tells them to stuff a wet towel under the door and smash all the windows to ventilate the room LOL. I started listening to these calls live as they were happening on some network a few months ago, and now it seems that the sound clips have started surfacing on YouTube.

I just listened to a live one earlier tonight where he phoned some woman in her room at a Best Western and convinced her that there was a convicted rapist roaming the halls trying to break down doors, then proceeded to tell her that the hotels keep a personal safety kit in each room that contains pepperspray and a taser, but it's behind the mirror to prevent children from finding it, and that she would have to break the mirror to access it. So she goes to fetch it and you can hear a big smash. Then she comes back to the phone saying there is nothing there. So he tells her to hold on, then comes back on the line and tells her that he made a mistake, it's actually in the mattress, you'll have to cut it open. So she actually slices the fucking mattress open. Then he quickly hangs up, calls the front desk and says "hi, we're staying in room 304 and my wife and I just got in a huge argument and now she's trashing the room, could you send an employee up to help or call the police?"

Fuck, I was laughing so hard that I was trying not to vomit.
