If I was the chubby Beatle-looking kid's opponent I'd just fire a hadouken at him and then while he's shimmering in mid-air like some sort of oscillating, gelatinous rice abuser I'd finish him off with a nice TIGER UPPERCUT, thus rendering me victorious.

Can't you just let this subject die? Dyldo basically said everything that needs to be said about them. Average high school band with a dead drummer.

I've honestly felt my brain trickle out through my nose. Just now. But that's OK, I was having fried egg for breakfast and most of it ended up on the plate, so I got it back inside again.
So, that what the kids are listening to on the radio these days?

Man, that went straight from MT to FB. I can't believe that guy seems serious... what the fuck was he even striving for? Is he happy with that??
People in the video have also been mixing up Vocoder with Autotune with Pitch Correction. Autotune tries to fix your voice "live". Vocoder is just unrelated... its what Imogen Heap used in Hide & Seek and it sounds awesome. And then I like to use the term Pitch Correction only when referring to a program like Melodyne, in which you manually fix the pitches (T-Paine).
Not everyone will sound good with vocoder, because you actually need plenty of skill for that. Not everyone will sound good with autotune either, but its not as complicated as vocoders at all. And then pretty much EVERYONE can sound good with Pitch Correction, because by the end of production you basically aren't even the singer anymore.

SYDNEY - An Australian publisher is reprinting 7,000 cookbooks over a recipe for pasta with "salt and freshly ground black people."
Penguin Group Australia's head of publishing, Bob Sessions, acknowledged the proofreader for the Pasta Bible should have picked up the error, but called it nothing more than a "silly mistake."
The "Pasta Bible" recipe for spelt tagliatelle with sardines and prosciutto was supposed to call for black pepper.

I don't understand how their friends and family, if any, let them do this shit to themselves.

Then it is quite nice to walk around daydreaming
Forget, that happiness
Flown away now have and that you didn't get my red rose
For precisely this here day, I went out and bought
A small rose in a florist boutique
A rose red as blood, so that you understood
That it's you I hold dear
When I as usual called you up
And to cinema asked you out
You replied simply like so
“No, this'll have to do”
You said
“I'll stay home tonight
Go to bed early to sleep
Don't call me more, please”
And that, that I had to promise
But nothing at all could stop me
I had to go out tonight
In the city I drifted, till I saw you
With a guy in a car of the latest model
The car's varnish it gleamed
The chrome flashed in the sun
As I stood there mute and thought
“How simple, isn't my little rose”
When you're trying to forget the sorrows of the moment
Then it is quite nice to walk around daydreaming
Forget, that happiness
Flown away now have and that you didn't get my red rose
For precisely this here day, I went out and bought
A small rose in a florist boutique
A rose red as blood, so that you understood
That it's you I hold dear
When I now in any case wander
Unhappily in love and nervous
Surely there's no one who blames
Should the rose be given
To another gal?
For precisely this here day, I went out and bought
A small rose in a florist boutique
A rose red as blood, so that you understood
That it's you I hold dear
... I did a version of this in a show six years ago. It involved a giant sunflower and the spoken part beginning with
"When as usual I shouted you up
To tell you that I'm horny"
Happy days.

I'm not just saying this because you're related to him Chris, but I'm intrigued. I think the guy has a really strong voice with a nice solid vibrato, but he just needs some training to help him stay in tune (I'm mainly talking about "Not the One" in that respect). I don't think that'd be too difficult to achieve if he's willing to get help with it. The music itself is pretty good, kinda generic within the genre, but it's good nonetheless.
At 01:37 in All These Tearz he really gets it together. He definitely has potential.
Now Chris, we're all friends here, so let's drop the pretence. TYREZ is in fact Chris Rezendes Ph.D, am I right or am I right? You have either made medical history by having a twin cousin or you're just too shy to share your sweet rhymes under your real name. SPEAK DA TROOF, SON!

We don't really look that much alike if you see us together, but you can tell we're related, I've been told. I run into people every now and then who insist we look identical, but that generally irritates both of us.
I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, Padders, but in all honesty, I think he could be decent if he took some vocal classes, worked his ass off, and learned to stay within his range. As bad as this stuff is, you should hear him around the house. He often croons Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and current female pop artists while mimicking their voices. If any of you guys with average vocal ranges ever try to sing along with Dio, Dickinson, etc., you know exactly how comical it sounds. Just replace "comical" with "extremely annoying". The worst part is the power in his voice; he sings not just poorly, but at decibels that should be fucking illegal.
I think he could be alright if he really wanted to put forth the effort.

Haha my younger brother and I have the same problem. There have been people who believed we were identical twins, which is just insane. Like you guys, you can tell we're related, but we're pretty different beyond the slightest similarities. Even some cab drivers who used to take my brother to work every day for years would start talking to me thinking I was him, until I corrected them. Fucking annoying! haha I don't think we should take it too seriously though, my own family who see me every day - some of whom have seen Taxi Driver - used to think that my avatar was a picture of me. Obviously you can't tell how ridiculous that is because you've never seen me, but trust me, there's NO resemblance besides the unhealthy relationships I often forge with prepubescent girls.
I wasn't being sarcastic, I really think he has a lot of potential. Besides his brimming-with-promise voice I quite liked the understated nature of the two tracks I heard; his voice sounded straight/untreated, and the music wasn't saturated with obnoxious bells and whistles which is a tempting way to go when you're writing your own material. I get the impression that he's comfortable with his own abilities and doesn't try to hide behind distracting studio trickery. I reckon with a few basic singing lessons he'll be all set, he already has the vibrato down pat, and his lyrics seem pretty solid for the most part.
If he can maintain the skill he exhibited starting at the 01:37 mark of the second song I reckon he has nothing to worry about.

I'm with the Pad here; the second song, 01:37, is where he lets what he can really do shine through. Some time with a good teacher, a load of scale exercises and - I kid you not - a guitar tuner would probably work wonders.

I didn't make it that far into that track, but one thing he has does have going for him is that he and his producers at least know what they're doing. His song, rhythm, and tone resemble that of a tangible song and that's hard for most, believe it or not. I would side with Paddy and Amad in saying that, in all honesty, if he learned to really take control of his range and really put some power and gut into it, he might have something on his hands.
Luckily, I'm an only child. Fuck does that makes me so happy sometimes.

Chris, he's really good, but I don't understand why he's just a nano off in pitch so consistently. Could it be the way it's recorded? I'm thinking it's not him, but another factor. If he can get that remedied he'd get a big thumb's up from me. The mechanics of both songs are really good and catchy. He's got a nice upper register, too.
Wish him the best of luck from the "over 50" crowd.

I can't believe how positive these reactions all are. Maybe it's just me and my youngest brother who have a problem. Maybe we're just biased from having to listen to him all over the house so frequently. I'm intrigued to say the least.

Does he only have those two songs recorded? It would be nice to hear a broader cross section of his material. Which is of course a euphemism for "I want to feel his thick, boiling yoghurt splash in heavy gobs all over my pasty back like it's rainin' salt-flavoured jelly". Maybe leave that part out when you ask him.

Got another singer aboard for my show this summer, the guy in this so far completely unknown band. Hey Tripple-X, this might very well be one of the guys who'll give your 1800-song a run!

The guy's got a good voice. The band sounds good. The music is a little rockier than I was thinking if it's done this style, but heck, I'm game. See what happens. Keep me posted.
Gomli, that was good, but it lead me eventually to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jag7oTemldY&feature=fvw

Haha, no sweat, we don't have any electricity at our main venue, so no risk of any over-rockification.
I've found my song!

I suddenly think that having you as MC at a cypher could bring a whole new dimension to the event.
Haha, sure, but for goodness sake, don't take this seriously! It was really more of a joke aimed at a few pals down south, but then I thought, hey, why not.

Ammy, upload some more vids. If this is you fooling around I'd like to see what you can do when you're actually trying! The only other clip I've seen featuring your rug demolition (note to self: great BDSM lesbian porno title) is the one where some kid wanders into the middle of the dance floor and nearly eats your heal.

See what I can do, that is, see if I can get a better camera than my cell phone, which only takes like ten second clips.

Give Paddy a plane ticket. He'll video ya and they want him out of the country anyway.
That was pretty cool! And the only thing I like about Asia is the band.

And we'd want him in this country because...?
Right, so here's something for me to pompously gloat about :
http://www.cracked.com/article_1853...nt-looking.html
...since I still, after all these years, am almost completely in the clear. The "almost" being made up by a virus which happily redirected my browser to sites like zootube (grinding yet another small but vital component in my hope for humanity into dust) and, of course, fraternizing with you guys. Still debating which one is worse.
So, considering that everything, absolutely everything, you do on the net will remain out there 'till the collapse of our civilization - what's your feelings trying to go to sleep the night before a job interview?

You did it! You found at least one more link to put on MT that elicited a WTF! Froggy style - feel the dust from a day of political debate lift like it was never there.
