A Samick strat was my first electric guitar ( it was solid blue). They're a secondary brand to some other big name, right? Anywho, I thought it played nice, but if I were to play it now it would most likely suck donkey balls.

Actually the samick strat was hot rodded like nothing and now it plays like a dream except for buzz at the 8th fret on the low E. threw in an SD hotrails and two dimarzio somthings...sperzel tuners...new bridge....practically the works. It was my first guitar too, so instead of toss it i made it better :P

It's an RX10D. A step below the RR5, which i think only means slightly worse pickups and a lighterweight body. (the whole thing + the shipping box/materials was 13 pounds...)

Now i just have to grab a mixer so i can DI from my ENGL 530 and then grab a decent power amp.

I think all thoes guitars suck. All bolt-ons with shit brown rose wood fretboads and shit pick-ups.

IMO rosewood is decent enough for fretboards. Also less hassle than ebony, because ebony is more sensitive to the enviroment variables.

And bolt-on doesn't have to be shitty.

But thats just my oppinnion

bolt ons are fine, pickups can be changed aswell, the only thing i dont like is the rosewood fretboard, i d rather have ebony or maple

2. Bolt-ons dont have to be shitty, but we are looking at $300 guitars here. ALl of thoes are made in Korea and are shit. That Scheter isnt even nice, its a fucking Diamond Series.
3. We are not speaking of teh potential of these guitar and what could be done, we are speaking of them how they are now, and they suck.

Henry is a quality player, but I think they're on the wane and will struggle to topple Chelsea this season, especially if Vieira has another indifferent campaign.

New pickups (dimarzios and a SD hot rails)
New tuners (some German-made ones...non-locking but high-end)
new pickgaurd (black pearloid)
And then just a deluxe setup to make everything straight. It's my blues/classic rock guitar.

i did the same with my telecaster, its a squier affinity, but it has a new bridge p/u, duncan lil 59, new tuners, new saddles, new electronics, new starp pegs, it fuckin slays
