light weight bass

Sorry if this has been posted before, I did a search and found nothing;

So here goes, can anyone tell me or point me to a very light weight bass? My friend has a bad back and wants to play bass, but is having trouble playing my Fender J-bass.

So what out there is lighter than that? It needs to be a moderately priced production model as well, i realize he could just get a custom bass made out of graphite or something.

Has anyone used the Warmoth chambered bodies?

Thanks.

moderately as between 300-700

He was looking at the Ibanez soundgear, are those decent basses for the money?

I was nudging him toward the Spector Legend, it felt light to me and looks cool. Anyone use Spectors at all? Are they good/bad whatever?

I have a Custom ernie ball 5 string and it has a graphite neck, and it certainly is light, so i think graphite is the way to go..

Yeah, but graphite costs three fresh virgin's cherrys and your left testicle. (That is unless you out play a bunch of old guys at a competition. You bastard )

I have two soundgears, one has an Agathis body and the other has a Mahogany body. They are about the heaviest instruments I ever played.

Get something that's made out of a light wood, but don't expect a lot of low end.
