Favorite time of day to play?
At what time of day do you feel better when playing guitar? I'm fine as long as I'm not exhausted, but strangely enough I feel most energetic once I get back from work, I usually play my best between 11 pm and 2 am, or whatever time before going to sleep.
It's strange, I should be exhausted as fuck after going to school and then work for 7-8 hours, but I can thrash better than ever at this time of day.
Days in which I don't work/go to school, sometimes I feel lazy to play during the first half of the day, at around 7pm is when I notice that playing becomes much easier and pumps me up more than at 1pm, for example. Strange, must be something with my blood pressure, since I'm also most active during the afternoon rather than in the middle of the day.

Morning. Absolutely. I can play fucking fast sweeps ang things that won't work at afternoon. For example, I just woke up, took my guitar ang I sit here playing children of bodom songs. the time is 9.41 am

I enjoy playing hard, heavy, and fast anywhere around 2 - 8 p.m. I notice my best, creative, innovative shit comes out around 2 - 3 a.m. stoned as shit in my room.

My neighbors are chill and never complain. So at these hours I can pretty much play as loud as I want to while bothering nobody. After 17:00 or 18:00, I don't play to loud. I don't think th neighbors yould complain anyway, but it is better not to piss them off if you know what I mean. Plus that 6-8 hours of playing is plenty. I never play 6 solid hours in a day.

well, I'm, more the morning player.....
yesterday I started playing at 10 am and stopped at 4 pm.... wanted to play guitar in the evening, but I just couldn't move my fingers! So guess, when I play in the morning, I shouldn't try to play anymore for the rest of the day

The morning and at nights is my most inspirational periods (Best used when writing). But in the afternoon is when I have enough energy to actually play with my band. I kinda like it this way cuz I write, play, then get back to writing(of couse when I have the time).

i feel best playing guitar during 2:00-7:00 i wake up at 7:00am start playing then take a brake eat at 12:00 till 1:00 then at one i jam again till 7:00pm, 7:00 is dinner (30 mins-40), after dinner jam till 11:00 then repeat pattern.
im most productive/creative when i have other people to play with.
has anyone besides me, took some band nazis(marching band people). and conducted them, and then shreded over the chords u conducted. i've done that once, and it was sweet as fuck. well i played whispering a prayer(steve vai) over it. it was fucking ausome!! 
too bad i dont have a life anymore  |

I dont really have a set time. Just after a shower is pretty good, but wait for your fingers to dry out or its peeling carnage.
I think i just get urges to play, ill be listening to a song and get real into a solo in it.

The only diff stoned makes for me personally is that I am calmer and more relaxed and will try a particular thing longer than if clear headed. When not high...I tend to get frustrated much easier.
My best jamming comes right after watching a pro either live or filmed...it seems to pump me up. |

i dont have practice times or favorite times. i pick up when i feel like playing, and thats my favorite time to play, when i damn well please :P
sometimes before school, sometimes around 7-8 at night. my best playing comes and goes, its mysterious. it isnt inspired i dont think, it just kind of stops by every now and then
