big hum from line out on JCM900
i recently bought a jcm900 and have started recording with it. my current setup.
guitar/jcm900/lineout to us-122 external soundcard/laptop.
the prob is i hear a bigtime hum through the headphones from the soundcard. i even noticed it when the amp is off as long as the soundcard is hooked up to the lineout. when i plug straight in to the soundcard (guitar->soundcard), it's not there. i don't hear it coming from the cab though. just the line out. is this some kind of grounding issue? or do i need another piece of equipment?
my old set up i would just mic my old amp because the lineout wasn't there. but i'd like to use the lineout on the jcm because to get the tone i want it's too loud where i live to mic the amp. any suggestions?
